Where will the shot land?
Mount the barrel before loading.
A projectile keeps moving forward while gravity pulls it down. Elevation divides launch speed into horizontal and vertical motion. A higher angle gives more time in the air, but leaves less speed for travelling forward.
Historical teaching mechanism. Earth gravity, 1.2 m launch height, no drag, flat ground. Trajectory is resized to fit the scene; distances use the calculated readings.
Complete a shot that lands more than 308 metres away at 55 m/s.
Complete a shot and compare its landing distance.
