Fit pump, spray arm and basket
The circulation pump pushes water through angled nozzles. Each jet carries momentum away; its reaction supplies torque to the free arm while the rotating pattern reaches the dishes.
Eight 1 mm-radius nozzles at 0.18 m radius, 35° tangential angle; water density 1000 kg/m³. A 0.015 N·m/(rad/s) drag coefficient sets illustrative steady arm speed. Cleaning chemistry and individual dish soil are not modeled.
Turn the spray arm above 25 rpm with at least six open nozzles.
Find how pressure and blocked nozzles affect spray-arm rotation.
