What makes a toilet stop refilling?
Fit the flapper, float and trap before flushing.
The flapper releases water stored in the tank into the bowl. As the tank empties, its float opens the refill valve. The rising float closes that valve when the tank is full. Water retained in the trap forms a seal against sewer gases.
6 L conceptual tank. Flush empties the stored volume; refill stops at the float setpoint. Trap retains a water seal. Timing and bowl siphon are schematic, not hydraulic prediction.
